The Northern Wedding Show X Ian Stuart Bride!

World famous bridal couturier, and star of Channel 4’s The Posh Frock Shop, Ian Stuart will be making an appearance on all of the catwalks at The Northern Wedding Show, sharing his inimitable knowledge with visiting brides.

We are delighted to announce that attendees will also be able to see his 2020 showstoppers and iconic mother of the bride designs on the catwalk and also on his stand at the show! Ian Stuart has always had a passion for fashion, art, music and theatre. This passion was the driving force which determined his future as a bridal gown designer.

During his fashion education Ian specialised in bridal and evening wear design, for which he won numerous student awards. Upon graduating Ian began his training at Belville Sassoon, one of London’s finest couture houses who specialise in creating gowns for socialites and members of the Royal family. This training gave him invaluable knowledge of cut, proportion, balance and wearability within design.

Ian then went on to create bi-annual collections for leading bridal and evening wear manufacturers in London before moving on to New York to further his career, where he created bridal wear labels which where sold throughout the world.

With more than a decade of knowledge and experience behind him, the cutting-edge designer decided that it was time to launch his own bridal wear brand based in London. The Collection Designed by Ian Stuart Ltd was an instant success and attracted worldwide publicity.

Launching his own brand has allowed Ian to concentrate on creating collections, which truly reflect his passion for innovative bridal design, without any restraints or compromise. His main objective is to provide brides-to-be with a luxurious and diverse selection of shapes, colours, and fabrics to reflect their own individual style.

His iconic Flowerbomb gown showcased as part of an exclusive exhibition at the V&A museum in London. You can catch Ian Stuart at our show at Stand TBC.

Unveiled: House of Mooshki and Grace Philips 2020 at The Northern Wedding Show

Iconic bridal design houses come as standard at the Northern Wedding Show and the new collections from House of Mooshki are set to seriously raise the style stakes as they unveil their mesmerising new styles at our show.

As well as the iconic vintage 40s and 50s styles that they are renowned for, we will also see the tailored beauty of the new Mooshki mother of the bride collection and sister brand (and our personal all-time favourite label!) Grace Philips both on their stand and also on our designer catwalks.

House of Mooshki aim to help every one of their brides develop the wedding dress of their dreams. Their design team has years of bridal experience and we love nothing more than the excitement of developing a new design. Mooshki have helped a diverse range of clients with every style of wedding dress, from traditional to contemporary, and vintage right through to Gothic.

Each dress is as unique and individual as the bride themselves. They offer a range of colours to choose from so if brides have their heart set on something different, like a black wedding dress, they are just the people to speak to. Each gown comes with an inbuilt corset to offer the best possible structure and support and every dress is created with pride, from the very first sketches right through to the finished dress.

Satins, silks and the finest fabrics are sourced worldwide, but something they really take pride in is their turnaround time. Unlike most bridal shops, they do not rely on a six- month ordering programme and can turn a dress around in 12 to 16 weeks, even less on some occasions. Mooshki also welcome last minute brides and brides who have had to move their wedding day forward. Whatever the reason, each bride receives the same level of service.

Come along and see their stand showstopper Gardenia, complete with its 4-metre long cape… Stand: TBC

“We are so looking forward to exhibiting at this show and hitting the catwalk in our home region. North East brides love a Mooshki twirl!”
